Uber and Passport Health Delivering Flu Shots Nationwide

Passport Health is partnering with Uber to deliver flu shots to 17 cities throughout the U.S. on Tuesday, Oct. 25th.

“Flu vaccines keep our communities healthy, and the more flu shots we can deliver -the healthier we all are,” said Paul Fishburn, Chief Operating Officer for Passport Health. “This partnership with Uber allows us to vaccinate people in an innovative way, which makes it intriguing for the patient and a lot of fun for our nurses.”

The event will take place from 11 am to 3 pm in these locations:

• Columbus, OH
• Connecticut
• Delaware
• Houston, TX
• Jacksonville, FL
• Philadelphia, PA

Influenza affects up to 20 percent of the population every year, yet less than half of adults get the flu shot. Some people are not healthy enough to get the flu vaccine, which is why Uber and Passport Heath want to make it easy for those who can get a flu shot to get one.

Uber and Passport Health first partnered in 2014, with a flu program that debuted in three cities. In 2015, the program expanded to even more cities. This 2016 program aims to help local communities avoid influenza throughout the flu season.

Passport Health has previously partnered with government and health organizations to provide travel and other key immunizations. These partnerships include helping the U.S. government provide anthrax vaccinations after the 2001 anthrax attacks.

The company’s mobile flu participation began in 2014 with its initial partnership with Uber.
