Anthrax – Many service men and women, like those from Station Point Judith, Station Castle Hill, NS Newport, and military contractors must have this vaccine. The anthrax vaccine is very hard to find and Passport Health Rhode Island has it in stock today.
Hepatitis A – The Hepatitis A vaccine was made available to the US public in 1996. This means if you are older than 16 years you probably did not received the Hepatitis A vaccination. There are approximately 1.5 million cases of hepatitis A each year worldwide. Hepatitis A is transmitted via contaminated food/water or from direct contact from a person infected. Whether you are eating at your favorite pizza place in Providence or having dinner in at a resort in Asia you could be at risk.
Hepatitis B – This vaccine didn’t become available until 1982 in the US. If you are over 30 years old you probably did not receive this as a child. The Rhode Island Department Of Health highly recommends this vaccine. The Hepatitis B virus is caused by exposure to infectious blood or body fluids. Hepatitis has infected 1 out of 3 people in the world. Don’t be a statistic!

Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis – Whooping Cough (pertussis) can occur at any age, but severe illness is more common in infants. Infants suffer the highest rates of hospital admission and death.
