Do I Need a Visa for Chad?

All US citizens must have a visa to travel to Chad. A valid passport and proof of the Yellow Fever Vaccine are required as well. Your passport must have 2 blank, facing visas pages. If your passport does not meet this requirement, your visa request will likely be denied. Remember that Chad also requires all visitors to check in with the National Police to obtain a registration stamp no more than 3 days after arrival in the country.

Can I Obtain My Visa for Chad upon Arrival?

Chad does not offer a visa on arrival option for US citizens. That means travelers to Chad must obtain their visa in advance of arrival through the Chadian Embassy.
