Does My Business Qualify for an Onsite COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic?
All businesses qualify for onsite vaccination clinics as long as they meet the minimum participant numbers. Event scheduling is first come, first serve and dependent on vaccine allocation.
What Is the Minimum Number of Participants?
Onsite events must have at least 100 participants to take place. If your business does not have 100 participants, consider joining with other businesses in your building or area. Offsite clinics for employers may be made available based on need and vaccine allocation.
How Does an Onsite COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Work?
Once a time for the onsite vaccination clinic has been scheduled, the business will be provided with a URL for employees to register for vaccination. All employees must be pre-registered to be immunized, walk-ins are not accepted.
On the day of the event, individuals just need to arrive at the clinic location with photo identification. They will be checked-in, immunized and asked to wait in the designated observation area. Post-vaccination wait times are between 15 and 30 minutes depending on an individual’s medical history.
Individuals will automatically be registered for their second dose, if needed. Second doses are given either three or four weeks after the first (depending on the specific vaccine administered). Participant appointments will be set to be at the same time as their first dose, three or four weeks later.
Does My Business Need to Provide Anything for the Onsite Clinic?
Yes, we do request employers provide a few key items for hosting an onsite event. These include:
- A socially distanced area for check-in with two chairs
- Three chairs, a table, trash receptacle and social distanced spacing for each vaccination station
- Socially distanced area for waiting 15 to 30 minutes after receiving the vaccine
- A wireless network with internet access for check-in and charting
- If the clinic is outside, businesses are expected to provide shade, water, traffic control and a secure place to store vaccine out of the elements.
Please note, masks and social distancing are required by Passport Health in order to receive a vaccine or host an immunization clinic.
When Can We Schedule Our COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic?
As of now, clinics will be scheduled no less than 30 days out. This provides time for vaccine allocation, event preparation and participant notification. If you need to cancel or change the date of your event, please do so at least two weeks before your events scheduled time.
