Do I Need a Visa for Paraguay?

Yes. US citizens must have a visa to enter Paraguay. If arriving via the Silvio Pettirossi International Airport, US citizens may obtain the visa on arrival. Entry via any other airport or land border crossing, however, requires a visa in advance. The visa must be obtained via the Embassy of Paraguay in Washington, DC, and applications are not accepted by mail. In addition to a visa, it is necessary to have a valid passport that will not expire for at least six months after the planned date of exit from Paraguay.
