Do I Need a Visa for Macau?
Travelers from the US may enter Macau up to 30 days without a visa, but depending on the length of stay, a visa may be necessary. Travelers entering on a business or tourist visa can apply within the country to stay for a longer period of time.

What Do I Need for a Macau Visa Application?
Countries often require different items for different visas. The application process may differ depending on the type of visa you’re interested in obtaining.
Currently, U.S. citizens can enter Macau visa-free for up to 30 days, this can be extended by completing a “Special Authorization to Stay” application.
There are specific documents necessary to complete and receive the Special Authorization to Stay, make sure you have all the necessary documents for your trip.

Long-term tourism travelers must submit the following with their Macau visa application.
Passport:
- Must be valid for one month beyond the date of intended stay.
Photograph:
- Five passport size photographs.
- Taken within the last three months and printed on high-quality paper.
- Taken against an all white background
- Be two inches by two inches
- Provide the full frontal view of your head with neutral expression.
In addition to a completed application form, the following items are required:

Business documents:
- Employment contract including relative information like employment duration, job title, job description, and salary.

- Criminal record from country of permanent residence

How Much Do Macau Visas Cost?
United States citizens visiting for less than 30 days do not need a visa for travel to Macau. For longer stays, an extended visa processing fee can vary between $10 and $50. For other travel purposes, visas-on-arrival are available starting at $100.
These fees to not include service, consulate, postage or other charges.
Are Any Vaccines Required for Macau?
Proof of yellow fever vaccination is required if you are arriving from a region with the disease. Travel vaccinations like typhoid, Japanese encephalitis and hepatitis A may be recommended based on your itinerary.

U.S. Consulate in Macau
All U.S. citizens visiting Lebanon should register with the STEP program before their trip. This State Department program provides extra information and support in case of emergency. Passport Health’s travel documents staff can assist you in registering.
