Do I Need a Visa for Liberia?
A visa is required to enter Liberia for all U.S. citizens and visas need to be secured before traveling to the country. It is recommended you submit your application about 10 days before departure, but next-day and same-day service is available for an extra fee.
A tourist visa for Liberia lasts up to 90 days, with the ability to renew up to a year with corresponding documents showing reason of stay, place of stay and sufficient funds.

What Do I Need for a Liberia Visa Application?
Countries require different and specific items for each visa and visa regulations are subject to change at any time, requiring additional documents or items.
Applicants for Liberian visa will require, at minimum: a passport, two passport-sized photos, proof of travel and a completed application.
Applicants are advised to apply within two weeks of their travel date.
Each item has a specific requirement that must be met, please double check all documents to ensure the quickest and easiest turnaround for your application.

In addition to a completed application form, the following items are required:
Passport:
- Be valid for next six months.
- One blank visa page.
Photograph:
- Two passport size photographs.
- Taken within the last three months and printed on high-quality paper.
- Taken against an all white background
- Be two inches by two inches
- Provide the full frontal view of your head with neutral expression.
Proof of travel:
- Flight itinerary that displays your round trip travel and entry and exit dates for your destination.
- Completed visa application
- Valid Certificate of Immunization (Yellow Book)
Minor form (if traveling with a minor):
- A notarized letter from the parent or guardian.
Special note: if you are a Liberian citizen who has become a US citizen, you will need a tourist visa.
Business travelers must submit the following with their Liberia visa application.
Passport:
- Be valid for the next six months.
- One blank visa page.
Photograph:
- Two passport-sized photos.
- Taken within the last three months and printed on high-quality paper.
- Taken against an all white background
- Be two inches by two inches
- Provide the full frontal view of your head with neutral expression.
Travel documents:
- Flight itinerary
- A business letter explaining: nature of business, name and address of business contact, proof of sufficient funds and signature from officer of the company other than the applicant.

How Much Do Liberia Visas Cost?
Prices can range from $70-$350 depending on type and length of visa. A same day or next day fee is applied when quicker return service is requested.

Are Any Vaccines Required for Liberia?
Proof of yellow fever vaccination may be required if arriving from a region where the infection is present. Yellow fever vaccination is also recommended for Liberia.
Hepatitis A, typhoid and rabies may be recommended for your trip, depending on your vaccination history and itinerary.
