The Covid-19 pandemic has affected communities around the world leaving many people with unanswered questions. Passport Health is now able to provide COVID 19 antibody testing. Schedule an appointment today to give yourself the answers you need to help stop the spread of the virus.
Immune Response Blood Test (Antibody Test)
This test detects antibodies in the blood to determine whether or not a patient has already been exposed to and produced an immune response to Covid-19 — even if an individual has never showed symptoms. Showing previous exposure to Covid-19 means an individual may have some level of immunity to the virus. Understanding an immune response to the virus allows you and your healthcare provider to make an informed decision on whether or not to safely return to work or activity.
Who can get tested: Immune response testing (Antibody testing) is available for patients who are not currently showing symptoms of Covid-19 or haven’t had symptoms in the last 14 days. The test is also available to individuals who have never showed Covid-19 symptoms. Most common symptoms of Covid-19 include coughing, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle aches, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus.
How the test works: After scheduling an appointment, one of Passport Health’s health care providers will collect a blood sample that will be sent to a lab to determine final results.
How can I get more information: Participating Passport Health locations are conducting these tests by appointment only.
