To ease these symptoms, try to change your wake-up and bed times prior to your departure to get accustomed to the new time zone. Be sure to stay hydrated during your trip, and rest when you arrive.
Drink bottled water
Sanitation is poor throughout Cambodia. You should use caution when drinking water or beverages with ice in them. Be sure to always buy bottled water, and make sure the water for hot beverages is truly hot before drinking.
Avoid rice wine
This local beverage can be very potent and many times dangerous. Under no circumstance should you try homemade brews which are unregulated, have extremely high alcohol levels, and can have other liquids such as insecticide in them.
