Do I Need a Visa for Kenya?
Yes, a visa is required for travel to Kenya. Proof of vaccination may also be required for some travelers.
Travelers to Rwanda and Uganda may consider an East Africa Tourist Visa, which is valid in both (and other) countries.

What Do I Need for a Kenya Visa Application?
Countries often require different items for different types of visas. The application process may differ depending on the type of visa you’re interested in obtaining. The government of Kenya reserves the right to change these requirements at any time. Make sure you have everything ready for your trip.
Kenya has an agreement with Tanzania and Uganda in which no re-entry fees are needed if you are traveling within these three countries. Your single-entry visa must still be valid.
The Kenya government may change this process at any time and is allowed to request additional materials during the visa process.
When applying for a Kenya Tourist Visa, you need a passport, photograph, proof of travel, and the actual application itself.
Each one of these items have specific requirements that must be met.
Passport:
- Be valid for the next six months
- Contain at least one blank visa page for the visa stamp
Photograph:
- Taken within the last three months and printed on high-quality photo paper
- Color Photo
- Taken against an all white background
- Be two inches by two inches
- Provide the full frontal view of your head with neutral expression
Proof of Travel:
- Ticket or itinerary that displays your round trip travel and entry and exit dates for your destination
- Show the traveler’s full name as printed on passport
Passport:
- Be valid for the next six months
- Contain at least one blank visa page for the visa stamp

How Much Do Kenya Visas Cost?
The price of visas are set by the local government and can be changed at any time. Visas for Kenya can cost over $100. This fee does not include the cost of postage, service fees or other associated items. The Kenyan government can change the visa fee amount at any time.

Are Any Vaccines Required for Kenya?
Proof of yellow fever vaccination is required for all travelers over one-year of age arriving from a country with a risk of yellow fever. The vaccination is also recommended for almost all travelers.
