U.S. citizens will need a visa if they want to travel to Bahrain. Tourists, people traveling for business, and journalists all need valid visas. It’s advised for travelers to obtain their visas before coming to Bahrain in order to speed up the immigration process. A passport is also required and must have 6 months validity.

Travelers can apply for a e-visa, which is an electronic visa, on the Bahrain e-visa website. You will need your passport, conformation of your airplane ticket, and must use the visa within 30 days of approval. You must be able to support yourself and others during your time in Bahrain.
You will need a valid passport and a photocopy of your passport. Travelers will also need to show a valid plane ticket and hotel booking for their trip. Officials will also require a correctly filled out Bahrain Visa Application form and a money order.

Visa fees vary based on type of visas that is needed and length of stay. Costs generally start around $60, exluding service and processing fees. Please note, visa fees rarely include postage, service fees and other related charges.
Proof of yellow fever vaccination is required if you are arriving from a region with the disease. Travel vaccinations like typhoid, rabies and hepatitis A are recommended for most travelers.
