Passport Health Attends Western Occupational Health Conference October 25, 2013 By Caitlin Bradford Leave a Comment Conference Goals: To promote and protect the health of people at work and in their environment. To provide ongoing education. From September 25-28, 2013, Passport Health joined about 250 Occupational Medical Physicians and Environmental Health Practitioners at the annual Western Occupational Health Conference held in Honolulu, Hawaii. The conference was sponsored by the Western Occupational and Environmental Medical Association with the goal of promoting and protecting the health of people at work and in their environment through preventative service, clinical care, research, and evaluation as well as providing ongoing education in this field. Passport Health met with noted practitioners of occupational medicine, representatives from national and global companies such as Boeing, ADP, Disney, Exxon, Caterpillar, as well as members of the US Department of Defense. Passport Health was pleased to add our travel medicine expertise to the many interesting discussions about occupational health. Of course, the beautiful setting and opportunity to meet medical practitioners from all over the globe were also added benefits. Passport Health looks forward to attending next year’s conference and continuing to learn from key industry leaders.
