Dawn Terashita , MD
Medical Director

Dr. Terashita was educated at the New York Medical College. She obtained her Masters of Public Health from the Loma Linda University of Public Health. Dr. Terashita specializes in Infectious Disease, Public Health and General  Preventive Medicine.  She also serves as a physician specialist at the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health focusing on Acute Communicable Disease Control and holds the position of the Hospital Outreach Unit Supervisor.
   


Rayann Aziz
Executive Director

Rayann Aziz arrived from South Africa in 1991 to work as a Physical Therapist.  During preparation for a trip to Nepal & India in 2001, Rayann and her husband were fortunate to find a Passport Health in Houston, TX.  The experience was so positive, that Rayann wanted to be part of this organization that would enable her to tie her love for travel with her background in the health field.  Together with the Medical Director, Dr Dawn Terashita, Rayann opened the first Passport Health Los Angeles office in 2002. Her deep commitment to Passport Health travelers to provide the best possible service keeps her both challenged & happy with the path she has chosen.
   


 

   


Ronnie Dannecker, RN, BA
Travel Nurse Consultant

Ronnie has worked in a variety of clinical and administrative settings, from newborn intensive care to care of the elderly; from hospital and homecare to corporate settings.  She has found that her true love is teaching and truly enjoys meeting travelers and sharing information for safe and healthy travel. 
   


Candice Plein, RN
Travel Nurse Consultant

Candice was credentialed by the state of California as a Registered Nurse in 1998 after attending Cypress Community College. She immediately began working in acutecare while simultaneously earning her BSN and public health certificate from CSUF.  While continuing to work in a hospital setting, Candice has also enjoyed practicing occupational health, aesthetic nursing, and being a Travel Nurse Consultant in Southern California for Passport Health.  Candice takes pride in assisting world travelers of all ages with their health and safety needs, and is committed to ensuring a personable and educational experience for each of her patients.
   


 

   


Clare F. Pegues, RN, MPH, PHN
Travel Nurse Consultant

Clare holds a BSN from Salve Regina College (Newport, RI) and a Masters in Public Health (MPH)  from Yale University School of Public Health. She has over 25 years of experience, primarily in healthcare epidemiology, in both hospital (infection control) and health department (epidemiology) settings in Boston, New York City, Hartford and Los Angeles.  She is also certified as a public health nurse in California. She has epidemiologic research interests in HIV and TB, and is also interested in international public health challenges in controlling infectious diseases.
