Marketing Internship Opportunity

Passport Health is currently accepting applications for an intern position for the Winter/Spring 2012 term at its national headquarters in Baltimore, MD. The intern will be working primarily in the Sales and Marketing Department and will work closely with the Director of Business Development & Marketing and the Sales & Marketing Manager. This is a 6 month internship beginning in January, 2012. The intern will:

  • Learn cutting edge marketing techniques in Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Learn online and social media strategy (SoMe), online research and business blogging
  • Learn how to gather and use competitive intelligence
  • Learn telemarketing techniques, warm-calling and follow up strategies
  • Learn C-level sales strategies
  • Learn to produce, capture, edit and virally disseminate video as part of SoMe strategy
  • Learn effective business writing skills, delegation, leadership and fundamentals of management
  • Attend seminars, meetings, and symposiums relevant to the course
  • Assist with tasks including some database design, entry and analysis/reporting


The intern will attend strategic meetings and therefore will observe the planning and implementation phases of a national sales & marketing strategy. The intern will be expected to plan and implement a project of his/her own choosing which fits with the marketing strategy. This is a hands-on internship designed for individuals who only wish to excel, learn and have a meaningful impact in the execution of the marketing strategy. Graduate students preferred.

This internship opportunity is unique as Passport Health enters an important growth phase and implements new strategic initiatives. Furthermore, reorganization of corporate communication channels, processes, reporting protocols, metrics and control mechanisms is occurring as part of Passport Health's growth strategy. This position may be for credit and can be either part or full time based on desire (minimum 18 hours per week).

  • Perform assigned duties to the best of his/her ability.
  • Keep the employer's best interest in mind at all times.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy guidelines as proprietary strategic and client information must be protected as such.
  • Be punctual, dependable and loyal to the firm.
  • Follow directions.
  • Conduct him/herself in a transparent, ethical manner and be honest in all interactions with the employer and clients while upholding your business school’s code of ethics


Passport Health will:

  • Enable the student to gain experience in a variety of positions within the firm.
  • Assign the student new responsibilities when the employer feels the student can handle them.
  • Collaborate with your business school in evaluating the intern's learning experience.
  • Notify the internship coordinator of any significant deficiencies in the intern's performance.
  • Assure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Expose the intern to a fast paced environment in which working as a team member is crucial.

Sales Internship Opportunity
 

Passport Health is currently accepting applications for an intern position for the Fall 2011 semester at its national headquarters in Baltimore, MD. The intern will be working primarily in the Sales and Marketing Department and will work closely with the Director of Business Development & Marketing and the National Sales Manager. This is a 6 month internship beginning in January, 2012.
The intern will:

  •  Learn lead generation strategy
  • Learn telemarketing techniques, warm-calling and follow up strategies
  • Learn C-level sales strategies
  • Learn the ins and outs of the on-site immunization business
  • Learn effective business writing skills, delegation, leadership and fundamentals of management
  • Assist with sales efforts regarding the travel medicine services and flu clinics
  • Assist the national sales manager with national account efforts.
  • Assist with market research, vetting and contacting prospects at the local and national level
  • Provide assistance during sales visits and keep sales databases updated.
  • Attend seminars, meetings, conference calls, strategic meetings and symposiums relevant to the course
  • Observe the planning and implementation phases of a national sales & marketing strategy.
