Nurse Practitioner, Travel Medicine & Immunization Baltimore Territory

Passport Health, the leading Global Provider of Travel Medicine and Immunizations, is currently accepting applications for the position of Nurse Practitioner for the Baltimore metro area.

Job Description

The nurse practitioner will work out of the Baltimore office. He/she will be responsible for seeing patients directly and provide travel counseling, vaccination, medications and general travel health advice to Passport Health Clients. She will also be responsible for providing physicals.

The nurse manager will work closely with the Baltimore-Delaware nurses, the corporate executive clinical team and the director of business development. Specific sales goals will be developed with a strong emphasis on relationship-building and strategic positioning, particularly as it relates to revenue growth for the targeted district.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Utilize proper travel medicine processes to provide immunizations and travel health counseling in a safe and effective manner.
  • Adhere to protocols promoting safety, infection control and universal precautions.
  • Provide friendly, efficient and safe service to the participants and the client.
  • Develop strong relationships with local physician practices, health departments, local hospitals and corporations as referral sources.
  • Perform health physicals and drug screenings


Qualifications/Requirements for this position:
  • Nurse Practitioner certification with current license in good standing in the state of Maryland.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond to emergency situations including anaphylactic reactions.
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated professionalism and excellence in nursing practice.
  • Appropriate mix of proven business development expertise, energy, and initiative
  • Willingness to travel on an as-needed basis
  • Ability to function and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing, self-directed environment
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks without detailed supervision, including working independently to create a call list and pursuing any and all opportunities consistent with the strategic plan
  • Thorough command of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and internet applications
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Track record of verifiable sales success
  • B.S.N preferred, but not required
